Hack by Any Desk - how to make sure iPhone secure

In a confused fugue I was taken in by what I thought was Roku support person to resolve a third party tech support charge by Just Answer. I called what I thought was Roku to resolve it and this guy got me to install any desk and said he was going to clear the charge and needed access to bank account. I didn’t wake up til e wanted me to “practice” a send through pay pal. I have deleted the Any Desk app, changed bank passwords and a few others like amazon, alerted bank and credit card. But I read that they can still access my phone even tho the app is deleted. It is gone but what else should I do to secure my phone. Believe me I feel super stupid. Had been fighting to reconfigure my old tv to Roku after local cable service cancelled, and my brain is fried, which obviously made me more susceptible. Any help appreciated

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 17

The way Any Desk works is that it allows you (your iPhone) to give access to a remote device (the scammer). The scammer did not hack into your device, however, tricked you into giving him access to your device. Once you disconnected from the Any Desk session then the scammer was disconnected as well. You have also deleted the app to be safe and sure.

The scammer is not going to be able to “hack” in to your iPhone on his own. You have taken the necessary next steps to change passwords etc. I am not sure what else the scammer got out of you and/or from your device and therefore I recommend that you change the password to your Apple ID as well. On your iPhone, open Settings ➡️ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➡️ Sign-in & Security ➡️ Change Password.
