Apple Watch SE - change from family set up to childs own phone
My child has an apple watch SE which we had set up as a device for them before they got a phone. This jumped off my iphone 11 and as we are in Australia we used truphone for the cellular data plan.
They are now at the stage where they will get their own phone (a hand me down of one of ours) but I would like the convenience of keeping the Apple watch SE aswell, so I would like to undo the family set up and pair it to their own phone.
My questions are -
- is this possible
- Do i then need a separate plan for both the phone and the watch
- I have read that they need to be the same provider. Is this the case?
