Weird Macbook Pro M1 keyboard layout

Hi, I've bought a refurbished Macbook Pro recently and the keyboard layout is really weird. It's an AZERTY but the hashtag key is impossible to write. I've looked for every keyboard layout in the system preferences and I can't find any answer to what keyboard I should use. This has to be found somewhere but I can't find where.

Please help !

I think you should return this machine if possible, since the keyboard is non-standard.

All azerty keyboards are ISO (European) and have a vertical return and extra key at the left end of the bottom row. Yours is the ANSII type (American), on which someone has presumably put on French keys. The standard French layout is below

What Keyboard input language do you currently have set in Settings ➜ Keyboard ➜ Input Sources [Edit]

The Azerty layout is available for French, Arabic and Kabyle languages.

If you have the layout set to French Azerty, the # tag should be located in the key that has it printed on it on your physical keyboard (above the return key) when holding down the shift+option keys.

If you have a different layout selected, then the location of the # symbol will be different.
