Cannot call specific contact, they changed carriers
My bf changed his phone provider yesterday, now when i try to call his number it immediately goes to an automated message saying “welcome to Fido(his old phone provider)’s voice messaging service, please enter in the customer’s phone number you would like to leave a message to”.
So the system/my phone/network? seems to think he’s still on his old provider but if I try to enter his number to leave a message, it says the number is not valid.
He has an eSim and he’s turned it on and off. He used his mother’s phone and she can call him fine. He can call me, I cannot call him. I can call other numbers normally.
I’ve tried deleting his number, dialing the number manually, restarting my phone, updating my phone. Signing in and out of my iCloud. Resetting my network’s settings.
When I remove his number from his contact I can call him via FaceTime. If I add his number and try to use FaceTime, it tries calling his number from what it seems like and it disconnects immediately.
Any suggestions of what to do?
