Final Cut keyframes from a motion title

I made title in Motion, brought it over to Final Cut. I created some rigs for this title. In Final Cut, rigs show up and I can throw down some keyframes. In the viewer, I do not see the parameters change. I set my keyframe and set the value at "0" go forward, set keyframe, set value at 90, go forward, set keyframe back to "0". I do not see the value changes in my viewer. I see the keyframes, I see the value change next to the sliders, but my title does not changes its values. Did I not publish a something that is crucial? I am able to create what I want in Motion and I did and then made a movie and sent it to Final Cut I'm sure it is operator error. It seems odd.

Thank you for posting the video, and the template.

As fox_m said, you cannot publish keyframed parameters.

Heed fox_m's advice, and give those published parameters more descriptive names.

You have to decide what it is that you want baked in in Motion, and what you want to publish in order to be able to adjust in FCP.

As a quick test, I removed all the keyframes set in Motion, and resaved the template. Then all the keyframes set in FCP do work.

I'm not exactly sure what you want to be able to do in Final Cut with your template, but — you cannot publish keyframed parameters. They will not work in Final Cut.

It seems you want to have a basic animation "on first drop" and the ability to alter how that animation behaves or appears once you're in Final Cut.

There are methods to make that happen, but you should have a plan for how to go forward.

As a point of template design, you really should not have 3 parameters published with the same label or name. Which "front up" is which? You might know as you're working on the project, but it gets really hard to remember which is which as time goes on.

I am not sure if I understand the situation correctly, but it seems that you are saying that you have a parameter controlled by rig and are applying keyframes to it. That would not work, as there would be a conflict as to what prevails: the rig or ghe keyframe. It actually does not even make sense to publish a parameter if it is controlled by a rig.

Or maybe the rig and parameter are not related and you are just not seeing the results you were expecting. I suppose you mean the bottom right X parameter, for example. Can you tell us what exactly this parameter correspond to in the Motion title?

Better yet, you are willing to share it, I would like to see the actual Motion template.

You could send it to yourself using wetransfer and post a link here. The will probably be removed but we still get it in the e-mail.

walking title

Let me know if you can open this. I don't know if this will work.

To try and be more specific. I created some rigs to control some parameters of the title.( four corners). In Final Cut, The rigs are sliders. I set a keyframe with the value of the slider at 0. moved forward and changed the slider to 90. Set keyframe. move forward in timeline and then set the slider back to O. So what should happen in the timeline is one of the corners should stretch forward and then in the end go back to the original state. I can see all the keyframes. When I move the sliders, the object does the exact move I want it to do. But, when I press play on the timeline, non of the actions I set down happen. The Only action is the original Keyframe setting. All the other keyframes do not take effect. Now, when I go back to Motion with the template I built., and use the rigs. It works exactly how I expect it to work. I did a screen recording, but now sure how to show anyone. Maybe if I put it in my cloud and create a link. I will work on that.

Motion keyframe issue - SD 480p.mov

Maybe this can show some clarity. At the end of the day, I was able to create what I wanted in Motion and make a movie and bring it over to my Final Cut time line, but I think I should be able to create a title like the one I made the use it as a title in Final Cut. It is probably something that I did not publish correctly, but I am not sure what that could be.
