Battery Health and Charging- iPhone 15 Pro Max

I found that my battery health has gone down from 100% to 98% in just than 3 months when I got the new phone.

How do improve the battery health, should I charge my phone to only 80 % or optimise battery charging etc?

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17

It is totally normal for the capacity to drop 2% in 3 months, in fact that is better than average. The battery is a consumable and will eventually need to be replaced when the Maximum Capacity falls below 80%.

The difference between Optimized Charging and 80% limit is that Optimized Charging will attempt to learn your charging habits and only charge to 80% until before you take it off the charger to charge to the full 100%. The 80% limit does not attempt to learn your behavior and always charges to 80%. In both cases there will be times that the phone will charge to 100% and that is normal. If you charge at a regular schedule, then use Optimized charging, otherwise use the 80% limit option. Obviously if you can charge at a regular schedule and use Optimized Charging, you will get the benefit of longer usage throughout the day, without degrading your battery.

If you follow these steps your battery health would last for a longer period

*Try to use Low Power mode in normal day to day use.

*Always use genuine Apple charger and apple lightning cable.

*Avoid using power banks for charging, charge only with apple genuine charger.

*Avoid charging your smartphone with car Charger instead use apple wired car play on the go.

*Avoid using wireless charging pad, as it heats up the phone results in battery ageing.

*Switch on Optimise battery Charging.

*Try to use dark black wallpaper as your phone comes with amoled Screen, it would consume less battery.

*Do not let battery percentage fall below 40%

*Also do not let battery charge above 80%.

*Switch off location services(GPS) when maps not in use.

*Disable Baground App Refresh.

*Reset your smartphone once in 6-7 months.

*Always update your smartphone to latest software.

if you follow these steps i hope your battery health would not deplete.

(also i would bring this to notice that, majority of the customers are facing battery health drop after updating to ios 17)
