I purchased an Apple watch for my daughter on my T-Mobile account. She is a minor and will not have an iPhone. She has an existing Apple account, which is under my ex-wife's Apple family. When I try to set up the watch on my iPhone using my daughter's existing account, I get an error message that I cannot set her up on my phone since she is already part of my ex-wife's family.

Hello shanedh73, To do what you want your ex-wife will need to remove daughter from her Family plan. That will free up her AppleID so you could add her under your Family plan and pair the watch to your iPhone. The child can't be assigned to two family plans under same AppleID at the same time. If the above idea can't be done then I would check "Contact Apple Support" to see if creating a second AppleID for daughter would be ok under your Family Plan.

Unfortunately, that is true. You (your daughter) can only belong to one Family group at a time. See GeeZ06's reply.
