Pain in hands when using Apple iphone 12 Pro Max

Touching the screen to scroll, or holding the phone causes pain in hands similar to small electric shock. The phone was purchased used from Verizon. I am writing to the community as I could not locate another means to communicate the issues I am experiencing with the product to the product manufacturer (Apple). The phone I have is causing pain in my hands when in using the internet. I have started to keep the phone away from my hands given the pain I experience when using the phone. I am writing to see if Apple is aware of any issues with this particular model and if there is any means to test the product.
