Marks on iPhone Pro, caused by wireless MagSafe charging

I'm a bit disappointed. After wirelessly charging iphone 15 pro with the apple magsafe for the first time, it's left a ring mark on the phone itself. I was not using a case when charging it.

Got in touch with an apple guy but all he could say is not to be concerned because what happens to apple cases (leaving circular mark on it) also happens to the phone itself. So I was told "It's the same with or without the case since it is caused by the charger."

He couldn't really answer my question. Is it NORMAL that magsafe charger leaves a mark on the phone? For now I can remove it by wiping it off but will it not leave permanently a mark in the long run like what other apple users experienced? I was told that the phone is not defective but I never had experience of this with my iphone 14 pro.

Just wanted to ask because it's still under warranty. But I'm afraid they'll say the same thing if I go to an apple store. I'm not interested with apple care+ but not sure if problems will show after a month because of this ring mark 😞

Any advice is greatly appreciated

I had the same issue with my iPhone 14 Pro and earlier models too. If you look carefully, there are 2 rings (one around the middle and another at the bottom). I've done some experiments and it's definitely due to magnets. I believe once you see the rings appear on the screen, your battery health will drop very quickly. The genius bar staff mainly handle softwares and there's nothing they can do to hardware.
