iPhone cannot be used in other countries since it has eSim?

Hi, I am from Costa Rica, I want to buy my iphone here in the Apple webpage, the thing is I've read the iphone cannot be used in other countries since it has the eSim and I'm not sure if I can use it here in my country, please help me.

When I'm about to buy my phone it gave me three options of carriers in the USA, how can I buy my iphone without choosing that option??

Your carrier must support eSIM, and must support your iPhone. Contact your preferred carrier(s), and ask them about eSIM, and about a US iPhone 15.

Claro lists eSIM support on their Costa Rica website.

An iPhone purchased from Apple (without a carrier subsidy) is carrier-unlocked.

The warranty is not international. Service is at the discretion of Apple, and you may need to return it to the US.

I mean if for example, I choose the T-mobile or Verizon carrier, can I still use my phone with Claro in CR?

Ask your Costa Rican carrier if they’ll support this. If they don’t or won’t, this goes nowhere.

If you choose no purchase subsidy when purchasing directly from Apple, you will receive an unlocked iPhone.

An unlocked phone can be used with any carrier.

If you purchase without a carrier subsidy, you will receive an unlocked iPhone.

If you purchase an iPhone from a reseller, you may be acquiring a carrier-locked iPhone.

Ok, the problem is when I try to buy my iPhone I have to choose yes or yes a USA carrier, it doesn't allow me to purchase my phone without the carrier, and I cannot contact Apple support since they only use the telephone and I cannot call them from this country

Yes, so? With no carrier lock, it doesn’t matter which carrier is specified at purchase, so long as you do not accept any carrier financing at purchase. You’ll have no warranty outside the US, and your Costa Rican carrier might decide to not allow this iPhone connection.

You CANNOT order an iPhone from your country using the US Apple Store. Apple won't ship the phone to you internationally.

You really need to buy your iPhone in your own country. You will have NO warranty on an iPhone purchased in the US outside the US. If you think you may be saving some money buying an iPhone in the US, ANY savings you might get will evaporate and then some if you have to return to the US with the phone for warranty support.
