Buying iPhone in the USA and using it in Europe
If I buy an iPhone in the us (unlocked) can I use it in Italy with an Italian Carrier?

Yes. Do note, that the warranty will only be valid in the US, and it will be up to the carrier to want to activate the iPhone on their network.
Contact your carrier in Italy, and make sure they are willing and able to activate the iPhone, and they support eSim.
