How can I copy a table in Safari.app and paste that table in Numbers.app?
I want to easily copy a table in Safari.app and paste that table in Numbers.app. My memory was that this used to work. What happens is the table gets inserted into a single cell.
I discovered that if I first pasted the table into Pages and copied the table by clicking on the table and right clicking on the orange circle in the top left corner and clicked copy I could then paste the table into numbers and it worked properly.
Then it seemed I could copy and paste into numbers directly from safari and it then did not paste into a single cell, it pasted correctly.
So, I want to know why it seems to work sometimes and sometimes in doesn't. I have been testing now to nail down what actions work and what actions don't; I haven't been able to figure what I am doing wrong when it doesn't work and what I am doing right when not does work... To slightly complicate matters I have "⌘ V" set to "Paste and match style" in Numbers and pages. But, this doesn't seem to make any difference in this problem.
It would seem it has to do with the way I am pasting not copying. I must be doing something that changes the behavior of pasting into one cell or pasting the table correctly. But I can't figure it out.
