"Your Apple ID is being used to sign in to a new device."

I have an iMac (2018), an iPad Pro (2020) and an iPhoneSE (2023). Every other day or so, I will get a message indicating: "Your Apple ID is being used to sign in to a new device."

The first time I saw it, I clicked on, "Don't Allow" -- because all 3 devices were nearby and they were (to my knowledge) "signed in." Then it asked if I wanted to create a new password. I didn't want to, but I did.

That was okay for a few days and they I'd get the same message.

I am clueless why this is happening. If I succumb to these messages, I'll be changing passwords every other day. Why is this happening and how can I solve this issue, or do I need to contact Apple Support? I don't ever remember this happening in the past.

Use the suggestions in those article to confirm account security. While it is a good idea to confirm that there is nothing wrong with the account, the kind of messages you see are the kind of thing many users have sometimes seen with no real explanation. You are welcome to contact Apple but I suspect even they might not be able to tell you. I know I got that kind of message when I once started up a device I hadn't used in a few months.
