Why do I have too pay to download Snapchat or any other app?

You will not be able to use the App Store if you have a previous balance that has not been paid for. Review what those charges are for or contact Apple directly.

Also if you share your Apple ID with anyone else or are the Organizer of a family sharing plan, the charges could have occurred from a device that is not yours.

Three things:

• A card with no cash value is not a valid card
• You do not get charged for downloading a free app
• If you had a charge from an in-app purchase or subscription that had not been paid, you will need to pay that previous charge before you can download any other apps even if they are free.

You must have a payment option in place if you want to download apps.....even if you only intend to download "free"apps.

Apple's policy. That's just the way it is.

If you don't want to set up a payment option, don't download any apps.

okay but i put down a payment option in place to download an app and it’s tellin me that this payment method has already been added but still didn’t work?

I’m currently going through the same thing with Snapchat.

I used my card what I know no cash was on and it couldn’t download the Snapchat app.

So they will be charging me for the snap app?
