HOW TO SAFELY REMOVE OBS APP

Today, I decided to try out and install OBS Recording and Streaming App on my Mac Lap top, but realized this is not ideal for me so I want to remove it. I didn't create any media with it and didn't upload anything additional.

When I went to uninstall OBS/put the app in the trash, my mac gave me this warning:

The application “OBS” is hosting system extensions. These extensions will be removed if you continue.

I'm afraid of removing it with such a warning. I use IDE's like Visual Studio Code, Python, and have Java and Node installed. I don't think removing OBS will affect this, but then again, I don't know.

Is it safe just to place OBS in the trash bin?

Thank you!!

If you mean this free, open source app, then yes, just put it in the trash.

The app installs an extension when first run, so it's normal for the OS to note it will remove the associated extension when you remove the app.
