Import google photos w original date info

Android user for over 15 years and finally switched to Apple. Frustrating experience so far but I’m committed. How would I pull in my Google photos, with the original date info, so they show up on iCloud in the right order?

Keeping original date of the photos when exporting Hello. I've read all the q's and a's on this forum concerning how to keep the original date of a photo when exporting from either iphone/icloud or photos app. I've "export unmodified original" from the photos app, and it does not work (does not keep the original dates). I've downloaded the photos from the icloud, it does not keep the original dates. I've exported via airdrop option directly from my iphone, and doesn't keep the date. I must say I'd never experienced this until having turned on the "icloud photos" option on my iphone. Before that, I was always able to export photos via airdrop and the photos kept its original date. I must express my distress on this technical matter, and disappointment in not getting a straightforward solution. All because using the syncing option of icloud photos. Hopefully still, perhaps, there's a solution you'd be able to share?. Thank you

Can't keep original file and creation date when transferring photos from icloud? Is it not possible to make a copy of a photo in icloud that retains the original creation date?

Download photos and keep their original date How can I download photos from my iPhone into my laptop and preserve the original date? WITHOUT having to check the metadata... so the date the file was originally created doesn't change.

When you use Google Takeout to import from Google Photos, the original internal metadata dates are preserved, if they have them to begin with. And Photos uses that info when importing.

If you have edited dates, locations, descriptions inside Google Photos, then you have to use 3rd party tools like GraphicConverter or exiftool to join the updated metadata in the sidecar .json files to the original images and movies before importing them to Photos.
