About security update of Mac OS
Recently, our company's cybersecurity department received notifications about two security vulnerabilities related to Apple:
- CVE-2023-42916
- CVE-2023-42917
and, department mentioned that there is only one method of handling these issues.
upgrade Mac OS to macOS 14.1.2. In other words, all OS versions prior to Sonoma must be upgraded to Sonoma. This caused significant challenges for our IT development unit.
I would like to inquire about Apple's patching measures for security vulnerabilities. Are they specifically applied only at the latest release of the OS, or are updates released for the latest three versions(including ventura etc,)? Since there is no clear mention of these details in official documentation. Does anyone have information on this matter?
