Music App shows all songs in one album but when synced to ios will split into multiple albums

My music App on the Mac shows all the songs in one album. But when I sync that album to the iphone music app and I list the album, it shows being split into multiple albums in some instance and in other instances, all tracks are separated into multiple albums of the same album cover. What gives? I don't even know how to fix this anymore
