SIM/Carrier Lock unable to be removed
It's been a month of Verizon / Apple / AIG (Apple Care) phone calls and no one can figure this out...
I received a replacement iPhone 14 from AIG (via AppleCare) in May of this last year. I'm on Verizon and the phone was activated on that network. I then purchased a new iPhone 15 and went to sell the iPhone 14, however it shows as Carrier Locked / SIM Locked in the About section. Verizon has no record of it being locked (since it was never issued by them), Apple told me they don't carrier lock iPhones, and AIG told me they only process claims for Apple.
I've factory restored the device and spent about 6 hours on the phone in total, but am absolutely nowhere towards getting this thing unlocked!!! By the way, the reason I want to do this is that the phone is worth $125 more as an unlocked device.
I'd SO appreciate anyone's help on this!
