My macbook pro 2017 is slow to wake from sleep.

When I open the lid it takes several seconds to wake. It usually wakes instantly.

If I close the lid and then open it after two or three minutes, the screen stays black, regardless of which button I press—whether it's Touch ID, the power button, or any other key. New 2023 Macbook, Pro M2 Max Slow to wake I have a brand new MacBook Pro M2 Max and it's great, except when I open close it and it goes to sleep. Then I open it again and it can take 40 to 60 seconds for the screen turn back on. The keyboard lights up right away and I try hit the track pad and spacebar multiple times but it doesn't help. The Mac takes forever to wake up and get going. Any ideas ?

Did you already try to switch it off completely and start it again after that?

Using Safe Mode might also help to let the MacBook Pro diagnose itself and let macOS fix found issues.
