If your iPhone 15 Pro Max is experiencing slowdowns despite having the latest software update and no apps running in the background, there are a few steps you can take to try and improve its performance:

  1. Sometimes, simply restarting your device can help clear temporary files and processes that may be causing slowdowns.
  2. Ensure that your iPhone has sufficient free storage space. If your device is almost full, it can lead to performance issues. You can check this in Settings > General > [Device] Storage.
  3. You can try resetting all settings on your iPhone without losing your data. This can be done in Settings > General Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings. Keep in mind that this will revert your settings to their default configurations.
  4. Even if apps are not actively running, they might be refreshing content in the background. You can disable Background App Refresh for individual apps in Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
  5. Ensure that you have the latest software updates installed. Sometimes, Apple releases updates to address performance issues.
  6. Check your battery health to see if it might be a contributing factor. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health. If your battery health is significantly degraded, it could impact performance.
  7. If the issue persists, you might consider backing up your data and restoring your iPhone. This can help resolve software-related issues. You can do this through iTunes or Finder on a computer.

Remember to back up your data before performing significant troubleshooting steps to avoid potential data loss.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it is recommended to reach out to Apple Support or visit an authorized service center for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your device model and iOS version.

I am using an iPhone 15 Pro (also using a Samsung S24U). I reset the settings, and my storage is not even half full. My problem is that it is slow when loading content from either apps or Safari. When I watch content on YouTube, Facebook, or TikTok using cellular data, it keeps loading. I thought it was the cell reception, though the data status shows full bars with 5G+.

I switched the SIM card from my Samsung S24U to my iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone’s SIM card to the S24U. On the S24U, there was no lag; it was fast and smooth. However, the iPhone with a different SIM card continued to lag/load. After switching the SIM cards back, the problem persisted. So, I think there might be something wrong with my iPhone. Or with a lot of iPhone’s out there.
