Adding downloaded and home movies to Apple TV app

I am looking to upload some of my home movies, as well as some recorded TV shows and sports to my Apple TV app on Mac, then have them sync with iCloud to view them on my phone, TV and MacBook. Is this possible?

On the Music app, I am able to sync my own (downloaded) music with my iCloud library and it shows up on all my devices. Is there a similar way to do this with Apple TV (app)?

Mac Pro, macOS 14.2

Thanks for the reply. To address some things:

I have 14TB of iCloud storage available. I use iCloud Drive to back up some of my work (I do video production)

The recordings I am referring to are downloaded YouTube videos, not copyrighted, and are posted from the official channel that shows the games (Recaps of hockey games and F1 races I liked). I wish to be able to have them synced to view in the Apple TV app on all my devices, without needed to put them in my Photos app.

Home sharing worked, but as you mentioned it does leave out my iPhone and MacBook when traveling. If the Apple TV app does not support this, I wonder if I should just add them to my iCloud Drive in a new folder. Annoying and ugly, but might work. I just really liked the way Apple music syncs my non-apple music, was hoping TV would as well.

Syncing, as Apple uses that term, is a transfer of the media file from the computer library to the disk in another one of your other devices. This is supported for mobile devices. It does not rely on iCloud. Sync movies between your Mac and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Home Sharing allows users to access media files that are on a computer from your other devices (computer, mobile, Apple TV box). It uses the home network, not iCloud. Use Home Sharing to share media from a computer to other devices - Apple Support. Home Sharing is not supported on third party devices with the Apple TV app (e.g. smart TVs). For the Apple TV box, Home Sharing uses the Computers app instead of the TV app.

iCloud Photos allows home videos in your personal iCloud storage, for access anywhere on any of your devices through the Photos app. It should not be used for “recordings” that are commercially copyrighted, per its terms of use. Expect Apple to monitor that. Also, videos are quite large in size (compared to music), so you may need to upgrade your iCloud plan if you use it for many videos or long videos.

Apple Music (and iTunes Match) are special, as that allows uploading your own audio media files to Apple servers, for playback on any of your devices anywhere. This uses iCloud (but not your iCloud plan).

I have 14TB of iCloud storage available.

Not sure how you do that. I see plans for 50 GB/200 GB/2 TB/6 TB/12 TB. iCloud+ plans and pricing - Apple Support

Anyway, cloud access won’t interact with the Apple TV app, but will be accessible in other ways. It won’t integrate like purchased movies, unfortunately. Feel free to give feedback to Apple about your envisioned use. Feedback - Apple TV App - Apple

Some images of the imported video, "The Legacy of Arrow Development" which I recorded from YouTube in case it got deleted since there was no way to purchase it through their website or on the iTunes store. I went through the trouble of sourcing the artwork, and filling in all the information about the video. Any way for this to sync to all my devices like the other movies?
