Any way to only turn on Always on screen when iphone get notifications

Instead of staring at always on screen I would like to see the screen light (always on screen) up only when I get a notification.. This feature is available in other Android phones.

Is there any similar feature or flag I can enable to achieve this ?. Because with current always on screen you can just on or off in ios.

You've basically described what iPhone screens do, WHEN you don't have the Always on Display turned on in settings. The only exception would be IF you wear Apple Watch. If you wear Apple Watch and your iPhone screen is locked, notifications go to the watch, not your iPhone. If you don't wear Apple Watch, and you receive a notification when the screen is locked, the screen will light up with the notification when it arrives. But it will lock again if you don't interact with the screen. Otherwise there is no setting as you describe, or I'm just not understanding what you're looking for?

What you described was correct (I don't have the apple watch so you can ignore watch part for now). I miss lot of notifications when I am not around the phone and notification arrive and disappear. Is there any way to keep notifications in lock screen to show me there are notifications there when I was away so I can quickly check them check I am back.

FYI: My job requires immediate attention to notifications...
