How do I find tv documentaries in Apple TV store?

Since apple move the movie and tv app to the Apple TV app I’m unable to find anything. The movie and tv app had a very user friendly experience that was organized and made sense. The Apple TV app is a mess. I went to the store to shop TV documentaries, which I used to do every week and there’s no way to do that. Any advice? Or is the solution to stop shopping Apple Store?

Apple TV App Can someone tell me why Apple can’t get their App to return a TV show to where you left off? Every other App like Hulu etc will return a show you have stopped to the exact spot when you return to it. Apple starts the whole TV show at the beginning. It’s so damn annoying. Can’t find rented movie I have an Apple TV+ subscription. I rented movie on my tablet, but cannot find it when using Apple TV+ app on my TV. There seems to be no place for rentals to be found. I searched for the movie name and got error message that no movie exists by that name. Checked spelling, etc - same response. Now I see hundreds of complaints about difficulty finding rented movies. My conclusion: drop the Apple TV subscription; save more that the lost $5 on the movie. There are many streaming options in addition to apple. 🤔

Where are all the documentaries on Apple TV? Now that the Apple TV Movie app is gone and all tv shows are movies are mixed together, there is no way to browse the genre of documentary in movies. In fact if you search documentary you’re given just two options to scroll through: 28 tv shows and 28 documentaries. How does one browse the thousands of of movies in the documentary genre? And I’ll add: without needing to scroll or otherwise also browse tv shows. What am I missing?
