Macbook pro M1 A2338 - Most keys no longer working after touchbar repair

Hi All,

I have a 2020 Macbook pro M1 A2338 that I replaced the touchbar on because the touchbar was no longer working. The laptop was fully functional otherwise. Just to note, I've replaced many things on macbook's over the years, so I'm always very careful while disassembling and reassembly everything. The problem is, now the the majority of the keys are no longer working.

Also, when I try to turn the laptop off, whether by clicking on 'Shut down' or by holding down the power button, it just restarts. So effectively I can't turn it off. There's a slight pink 'flash' when I try to force it to shut down by holding the power button.

Would anybody know what's wrong or how to fix it?

I would note that when getting the old touchbar off, I had to essentially scrap the old one off, which caused a lot of dust debris on the keyboard (which I vacuumed up). But that wouldn't explain the not shutting off thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

JL
