My iPad has been stolen, can I ask for a warranty?

Hello,

I'm Marine and I've been an Apple customer for several years now.

On Tuesday, January 02, 2024, my Ipad pro was stolen on the way home from work.

Following this event, I immediately reported it to the NSW service as well as to the police.

At the same time, I was hoping to find my ipad thanks to your "locate" feature. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with either my ipad or my airpods pro.

I use my ipad for work and find myself very annoyed as a result. I'm well aware that there's nothing you can do about theft.

However, as my ipad is still under warranty and I can provide you with all the evidence proving that it has not been found, would it be possible to invoke the warranty? I can't afford a new ipad of this value, and unfortunately I need to find a solution quickly as it's been two weeks since my ipad was stolen.

In order to make it easier for you to verify and prove the truth of my facts, I enclose the various items proving that the ipad with serial number N0***9PD has indeed been stolen from me.

I thank you in advance for your attention to my request, and look forward to hearing from you.

Have a nice day,

Yours sincerely

Marine

Neither the warranty nor AppleCare+ cover stolen iPads. Unless you have a non-Apple insurance policy which does, you'd need to pay full price for a replacement.

For reference, most of the people on these boards are other customers, not Apple employees.
