apple watch nightstand mode alarm tone changes depending on orientation

When I put my watch into nightstand mode in landscape orientation (digital crown up), the alarm tone used is a musical melody.

When I put my watch into nightstand mode in portrait orientation (digital crown to the right), the alarm tone is the standard pinging sound.

How can I get the musical melody alarm tone in portrait orientation nightstand mode?
