Desktop & Documents Folders not sync

I turn on Sync this Mac on iCloud Drive. Then when I select Desktop & Documents Folders and turn it on the spinning wheel appears for maybe 1-2 minutes then it stops and the option goes back to grey.

Sync status for Documents folder on MacBook incorrect Hi - Recently found the "Documents" Folder display in Finder to be constantly displaying the symbol (iCloud with downward arrow) suggesting that some items in this folder have not been downloaded from iCloud. However, everything currently in the corresponding folder within iCloud has been loaded up to iCloud from the Documents folder on the machine, so cannot see how the software is advising that the Documents folder has items in it that require downloading. I've never used the "Remove Download" option when managing files or storage on the machine I have also applied the "Download Now" option several times for the "Documents" folder and all sub-folders, just to ensure everything is in sync - but to no avail. Pretty sure this is a glitch, so wondering if there is any advice on how to force the iCloud and MacBook to sync properly. All help / suggestions gratefully received as it is bugging me to see this! Desktop and documents won't sync on new MacBook Air Hi I just bought new MacBook Air with M1 chip. I have been able to set it up and I am logged into my iCloud account. Everything is syncing fine including settings, mail, messages, notes etc etc. Only problem is it won't sync specifically desktop and document folder. I have 3 separate Macs and they all sync very well. Only this MacBook Air is not syncing. I have gone into settings, Apple ID, iCloud Drive and under options selected desktop and documents folder to sync but it won't. I deselected and reselected twice in past 2 days but it still won't. Let me know what am I missing. Thanks

Force a MacBook/iCloud Drive Sync? Everything except for some small percentage of documents on my MacBook is synced to iCloud. Just two document folders have the little grey cloud by them. In fact, when I click on the little cloud next to "iCloud Drive" I get: "iCloud is not syncing - There are pending items to sync." It has been this way for months. I cannot tell which specific documents are misbehaving and I do not know how to force a synchronization.
