How can I my MacBook Pro 13” less slow?

My MacBook Pro 13” runs slower than molasses in January. What do I need to do to make it faster? If I factory reset how do I do that? I want to say I bought it around 2011 2012?

More than likely the hard drive is worn out or even failing. Run DriveDx and post the complete DriveDx text report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.

To look for possible software issues, run EtreCheck and post the report here so we can examine it for clues.
