iPhone faults

I am extremely frustrated that I am having to keep replacing my iPhone charger and if my cellphone is in direct contact with sunlight or sunshine it gives message charge will resume when it returns to normal heat. If this is normal protocol for your products I will be forced to switch to android again.

iPhone XR, iOS 17

Hello~ Are you replacing your charger with one from Apple? They have a one year warranty. Leaving any smart phone in hot conditions will result in failure and at least an iPhone warns you about this occurrence. You can also take your iPhone in for a checkup to see if there is an issue…

If you are using Optimized Battery Charging, when the phone charge gets to 80%, you will get a message that says that charging is paused until the battery cools. Sorry, I can't remember the exact wording but it does sound like the message you're seeing. This does not mean your iPhone is overheating. It's just alerting you to the normal process.

That said, charging the phone in a hot area is not the optimal way of doing it, though sometimes necessary.

As to why you have to keep replacing the charger, you haven't given enough information for me to comment.
