Will activating eSIM work in Europe? Advice/comments

Most carriers these days offer roaming at reasonable rates. The first I'd do would be to check with my carrier to see what they offer. It's not easy getting eSim in another country when just traveling there and not a resident.

Which carriers are you asking about in Europe? Not all support eSIM.


You have to call the carrier in each country that you want to visit to get eSIM set up for that country. It was a major hassle.


Premium price will be charged if you are not committing to service over a longer period of time. Some carriers won't offer a plan unless you commit to 90 day minimum service.


If your current carrier offers an international calling plan, things will be tons easier to go with that option. Virtually no setup required, the phone connects automatically when the plane lands or the ship arrives.


Might cost a bit more, but more than worth it in my opinion.
