Dropped USB-C end into Ramen

Hello,

The end of my USB-C charger for my Macbook accidentally fell into my ramen cup 3-3 I was there when it happened so it wasn't in there for long, but I'm worried about whether it's still safe to use. I looked around online a bit to see what I could do. So far I have rinsed it out with some bottled water, tried to dry as much as I can with a paper towel/napkin, and used a hair dryer on low setting to try to dry any residual water that could be on the inside of the cable.

I'm going to wait at least a day or two to make sure the cable is completely dry. Does anyone have any other insights on this? Should I buy a new cable?

Thanks 🙏

I would toss it out. You cannot clean the pins out because there is so little room to make sure it is truly clean. All it takes is one small amount of residue which can fry the USB-C port on the laptop. Do you really want to risk your very expensive computer?
