migration problem

migrated old Mac to new Mac now new Mac won't open. keeps asking for the password. after entered it

still won't open.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

Migration has caused MacBook to be stuck in start up loop using migration assistant I transferred data from my old MacBook Pro to my primary MacBook Pro. Old pro is late 2013 running big sur and new one is 2019. it seems the migration was successful but now my newer primary MacBook Pro is stuck in a startup loop. I get a flash of a white screen then goes back to black and the Apple chime plays, just stuck in this loop. Ive tried starting in safe mode, etc but nothing has worked

following migration from windows my macbook pro won I used the migration assistant from my windows laptop onto MacBook with Ventura operating system. Once it finished transferring files it says there is an error starting the MacBook and I don’t get to the log in screen. Help!

Are you able to command-R boot the Mac?

If yes, go to the Utilities -> Terminal window and type

resetpassword

Followed by Enter/Return.

This will reset your primary user password. Quit from the recovery tool and see if you can login.
