Windows 11 PC not Autoconnecting to IPhone using Personal Hotspot.

Let me explain what happens so this is clear.

  1. Connect to hotspot from Win11.
    1. Works fine...
  2. Walk away from the PC with the iPhone (out of bluetooth range)
  3. Return to the PC (with iPhone that is locked)
  4. Win10 cannot see the iPhone hotspot
  5. To re-establish connection to the hotspot:
    • Login to iPhone
    • Open the hot spot settings
    • Toggle "Allow others to Join"
    • Wait till the PC can see the hot spot (which takes more than a few seconds)
    • Connect to the iPhone on the PC
    • This process can take 5 min as it does not reconnect all the time

Windows, Windows 10

I don't often use my iPhone's Hotspot, but if memory serves, this is normal and expected behavior. It's more likely to avoid unintentional data usage. Every time I have used my Hotspot for example, if my ISP goes down, I have to reconnect every time and enable it every time. This feature is not like auto connecting to a Wifi router you've connected to previously.
