how do I get Apple Pay on my MacBook Air

I want to get Apple Pay on my MacBook Air. it says I can't in settings

Apple Pay on my new Macbook Air I have recently purchased a MacBook Air and I'm having difficulty with the Apple Pay. There is a Wallet and Apple Pay screen but it doesn't say to turn Apple Pay on or anything. And when I go to my messages there isn't a way to pull up Apple Pay. Maybe I'm missing something but I'm just not seeing it. Please help!!!!

How do I set up Apple Pay on iMac? 2017 iMac desktop (Ventura 13.4.1) does not have a wallet and I do not see how to use apple pay. Apple Support sez "Mac models introduced in 2012 or later with an Apple Pay-enabled iPhone or Apple Watch" are compatible. I have these set up for Apple Pay. So what is the secret to getting it to work on my iMac?

What model MacBook Air do you have? Does it have the necessary hardware features and are you using Two Factor Authentication (2FA)? The Apple Support guide I linked to below will walk you through the steps to use Apple Pay, if your device is compatible.
