I've done the troubleshooting of holding off button with home button, still comes up with apple logo.
I've tried plugging it into the computer to do an update but it won't recognize the ipad. My closest store is over an hour away so I don't want to have to take it in if someone here can help me.

same issue happened with me. my ipad is stuck in recovery mode since 2 months. even i have visited the apple store , they checked it for two days and at last they told me that we even cant do anything as it is stuck in recovery mode and promptly diverted the issue to hardware problem. now i cant do anything.
