Decline calls without sending to Voicemail

Is there an apple script or "trick" to decline a call, but not allow it to go to VM? The number of spam and telemarketing calls I receive is out of control (20+ a day... and YES, I block every one of them) and I'm hoping to find a way to decline them without allowing the call to go to voicemail. I tried Robokiller and it didn't work for me....too restrictive. Any suggestions?

No. Calls are automatically routed to your voicemail by your carrier if you don’t answer the call. Only way to stop that would be to have your voicemail disabled but that would mean no one could leave voicemails at all (not just calls you purposely decline). If that’s something you wouldn’t mind then you can contact your carrier to remove voicemail from your account. You can double check with your carrier for any options available though just in case they somehow have a method available to do what you want.
