Printer offline

I have my printer plugged into my Mac Studio with a USB cable. It works great, everything functions. But the printer keeps going offline and won't print. To fix this I have to physically disconnect the USB plug and reconnect it. Then it works again until some time later.

It's very annoying. Is there a way to fix this?

It's a brother MFC-L3770CDW

I can also replicate the issue on a brother HL-L2340DW

Edit: The HL-L2340DW uses AirPrint though and not a direct connection to the Mac.

Edit2:

"3) Does the printer wake-up and connect, if manually push a button on the printer before trying to print something...? "

It wakes up but nothing prints and the print queue says waiting for printer. I have to physically unplug the HL-L2340DW from the wall for it to start working or restart the Mac. For the 3770 I have to replug the USB cable.
