Airdrop photos not showing up from iPhone to MacBook

Since the newest update (Sonoma 14.2.1) airdrop photos and files are not showing up on MacBook. I have tried sending photos from both an iPhone 13 Pro and iPad (purchased 2024) and they are successful, but when trying to send them to the MacBook they are nowhere to be found. I have shut down and restarted all the 3 and still nothing. The odd thing is when the item is sent it says "sent" and the ding is heard on the computer, but even searching for the item it is nowhere to be found.
