Edges of my iPhone screen not reacting to touch

Issues with edges of screen not reacting to touch?

I just recently got an iPhone 15 pro max Running 17.2.1.

I take a lot of photos and I often want to crop them. This used to be easy on my old OnePlus 7. But now when I try to crop, I have trouble getting the cropping lines to move. Doesn’t seem to matter which corner or whether I touch the top, bottom, or sides. If I keep trying long enough, I can usually get it to work eventually, but it’s a nuisance.

Also, when I’m typing, it often doesn’t accept the characters which are close to the edges of the screen, like the letter p or the number zero.

Could there be a problem with the screen itself? Very frustrating. Especially when I’m trying to enter a password that doesn’t show up on the screen

If you're sure that nothing (case/cover, screen protector, dirt) interferes with your touch screen (remove any obstacles, if present), and if you already tried (to no avail) a forced restart of your iPhone as per these gestures:

In rapid sequence, press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 10-20 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear, the one with the "slider" to turn the device off included).

If the issue still persists, since your iPhone is covered by warranty, I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
