I have an IMAC Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017 running macOS Big Sur 11.7.1. I need to update to a newer OS with at least 12 for a program but am unable to automatically update do so. I have a 3.6 GHz Intel Core 17 processor, 16 GB of ram 650 GB of storage on the hard drive. Can you advise if the unit is capable of such and how to do so without losing anything?
