Frozen cursor on MacBook Pro

I have an older 2010 17inch Mac Book Pro which I only turn it on once or twice a year because I bought a new Mac Book Pro in 2018. I have to us the power cord to turn on my old laptop which I did this morning and when it came on the calendar screen was on full screen, Bluetooth Keyboard Setup came up and another little blue box is up and the cursor is frozen in the upper right had corner
