Apparently there is no hulu app for macbook air. Searching for answers I try going to hulu website via safari to watch. It almost worked, but had to allow location services in safari… which I did. It still doesn’t work. Even tried turning off private relay in icloud. Still doesn’t work. Anyone have recent success with this?

I just tried it using Safari 17.2.1 on an iMac with macOS 14.2.1 and had no issues.
I just logged into Hulu.com and wasn't asked to change any settings.

If that doesn't help, the following may have something: https://help.hulu.com/s/help-topics
You might want to try a different browser (e.g., Chrome) and see if it works with that.
