When streaming an Xfinity TV channel from my iPhone to my Apple TV device using the Xfinity Stream app, the audio streams but not the video. This only recently started to happen. It was working yesterday. Can’t use the Xfinity App on the Apple TV because I’m not on my home WiFi.

If they support just AirPlay 2, but not AirPlay 1, then the audio without video is one of the things that might happen. They may have changed their support for receiving devices, or something else may prohibit AirPlay.

Apple TV HD (4th generation) or later supports AirPlay 2. Apple TV (3rd generation) or earlier may have different compatibility per content provider support.

Thank you for your reply. It’s finally working again. Even though I had rebooted everything once, it took rebooting it all a second time to make it behave. Weird.

Xfinity stream streams audio but no video
