Is it now possible to change the iMovie default font size from 91?

I've searched this question and over several years there seems to be no solution.

91 is the default font size and I'd like to change this default size to 65 but it seems like you have to change the font size on every single title.

This seems like a major design flaw.

And from the many, many people who have identified this similar problem, a long-standing and frustrating one.

I'm sure it was possible in previous versions to change this default font size in settings but if so, that facility now seems to have gone.

Please...can anyone help with either

1) a solution?

or

2) confirmation that it is just not possible to change the 91 default font size (and if so, is there any way or anyone with any influence to get this issue addressed).

Many thanks in anticipation.

I'm not aware of any uniform 91 "default" text size. In any event, font sizes need to be adjusted individually for each title. Can't do it in a batch and can't create a universal "default".

Apple has designed the titles in iMovie such that they are very restricted in what the user can control. Some titles are caps only, Some don't permit font changes. None will allow different sizes in the same line. Those that have more than one text object will usually allow different sizes for each object. Thus, a universal default size would not be possible.

After creating a title with a chosen font size, you can select it and then Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste, a duplicate in the timeline, or as many duplicates as you want. The text will have the same font size as the original, and you can then substitute new text to create a new title. This would work if you are using the same title template throughout the project. It would not work if you are mixing title templates.

Thanks for the speedy reply Rich. Very much appreciated.

It's a really laborious and tedious process to have to change every single title slide, and I really thought Apple would've got it sorted by now. Obviously not. Shame.

On the 'Upper' title slide the default is indeed set at 91,

which I've also seen quoted elsewhere by other users.

Either way, I'll have to keep on changing every slide.

(and my point about influencing apple was somewhat tongue-in-cheek - out of sheer desperation!)

Thanks again and best regards

O.K. I guess you could say that 91 for the particular Upper title is an arbitrary default setting for that title. In my random sampling I didn't check that title. However, all of the other titles initially appear with various arbitrary file size settings other than 91. All of these settings can be individually changed. I thought you meant a default setting of 91 for all titles. Sorry that I misunderstood.
