How can I track steps with Apple Watch during an Inside Walk workout at my Treadmill desk and close my rings?
I am starting a Workout on my Apple Watch manually and choosing Inside Walk, however since my arms are not moving while working at my desk (even though I am walking on the treadmill) the watch doesn't count my steps properly.
I put my iPhone 15 Pro Max into my pocket so it is moving as I walk on the treadmill. When I finish I can see the steps are recorded fairly accurately in the Health app > Steps > Show All Data, but they are not being added in to the Apple Watch reporting, so my rings are not being closed, and my number of steps is incorrect.
I tried changing the priority order of the Data Sources in the Health app on the phone, so that it would prioritize phone data over watch data, but this didn't resolve the issue.
Is there any way to accomplish this?
