Exported WAV audio and burned to CD but it only plays back in Apple Music, not even on several other players. The file has the colourful music notation logo and is labeled WAV.
Maybe you burned a (Mac format) data CD instead a cross-platform audio CD?
I have not burned optical disks in ages (they are so clumsy to handle) but here is some advice:

Maybe the CD is re-writable (CD-RW) that other players do not support? (In the past I had to record a CD-R at 1x speed so one player could play it). Plain audio-CD's do not need subscription fees.

A CD-R was used in each instance. I can create a file and burn a CD, but it doesn't play on CD players, only Apple Music. Is there a subscription necessary for this to work?
