The blood oxygen sensor can not be physically removed, it can only be disabled for existing Apple Watch models if the watch has the modified watchOS software installed. But, this will only be the case for models sold after January 18th 2024.

As best I can tell, Apple made no announcement to the effect in today's event.
If I buy an Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the US, but if I go to Costa Rica to live and activate it there, will it have the oxygen sensor function? I understood that it is available in other countries…
They most likely did not mention no blood pressure sensor, and no blood sugar sensor, and a whole line of other medical sensors that the Apple watch does not have.
One of the reasons I purchased the watch is the blood oxygen feature I am 90 and have been told to monitor my blood oxygen but my new model 10 does not have it settle the **** lawsuit!
