My Find My live tracking use to work but now does not. How do I fix this?

I recently made one of the biggest mistakes of my life, by updating my iPhone to the iOS 17.1.2!!! After doing so, it totally disabled my Face ID, and now I have to take it to an apple specialist, in hopes that they can fix the issue that the update caused, and that’s such an inconvenience in my life. It also disabled the “live location.” Now, while I’m engaging on find my, I can no longer see my husband or kids in “live format,” It only shows “now,” and that updates every 3-4 mins, sometImes longer! I am beyond irritated and upset! I truly wish I hadn’t updated my phone and none of this wouldn't have happened!

Yes, the “live” “find my” function was messed up after 17.1. Mine does the same thing.. it sometimes takes 2 or more minutes to show a location whereas before you could watch your person travel “live” down the road.

I was hoping 17.3 fixed it but it has not. My iPad 17.1 works fine. I am frustrated as well

I just don't understand how a company decides to ruin a working application that people depend on! Once a feature becomes available, people build dependencies on it and you no longer take that away! This is completely unacceptable and outrageous! I guess they know that we have little option to move away from Apple and they do what they wish! Terrible!
