Total reset gone wrong - “no bag entry”

Hi, I ve tried to factory reset an old MacBook Air lying at home

MacBook Air 13 inch (early 2015)

Model QML41HW563

(it’s not the MacBook in my devices !! It’s my husbands!)

i ve used disk utility and erased disks, entered into recovery mode, passed the revolving globe setup and then when trying to reinstall Mac OS (Sierra) I receive a message saying “no bag entry”

there is nothing else I can do. If I go back and choose disk utility there is no disk to choose and I have to force restart which makes me have to go though the whole process again…

please help i need to sell it..

thanks !!

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.2
